Since 2010, Louis Burton has sailed across the Atlantic countless times, has taken part in three Vendée Globe races, with a third place in the last edition in 2020-2021. From the start and today still backed by Bureau Vallée and his co-sponsors, Louis continues his career in St. Malo. A skipper and businessman, Louis is managing his career well developing his BE Racing team with his wife, Servane Escoffier-Burton. In 2016, during his second attempt at the solo round the world race, he finished seventh on his first IMOCA, Bureau Vallée. Following on from that, he took over the foiler which won the 2016-2017 Vendée Globe. On the 8th November 2020, the skipper based in St. Malo set off on his third Vendée Globe, which he finished in third place after 80 days of racing. A few days after returning ashore, Louis Burton and Bureau Vallée announced they were buying a foiling IMOCA from the latest generation. In 2022, Louis got to third place in the first race of the season and qualified for the next Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe.
