An entrepreneur at heart, an outstanding leader of men, Jérémie Mourat has been leading the conversion of the family vineyard to organic farming since 1999, thanks to his creative energy, and has been working hard to demonstrate that great wines can be made in the Vendée.
The acquisition of Château Marie du Fou, the renovation of the Moulin Blanc destroyed during the Vendée wars, the development of wine tourism and more recently the purchase of the Distillerie Vrignaud (which has been an emblematic brand since 1812 thanks to Kamok, the coffee liquor). Jérémie and his team, as attached to their land as they are to its history, continue with fervour to make the Vendée Department shine.
Competitiveness, dynamism, surpassing oneself, fighting spirit and tenacity are values shared by Vignobles Mourat, which has been involved since 2016 in one of the most difficult sailing races there is, the Vendée Globe.
This year, Vignobles Mourat and Distillerie Vrignaud will be alongside the Vendée Department and SAEM Vendée in formalising their partnership with Vendée Arctique, this springboard to one of the leading sporting events in France and internationally.
At the Vendée Arctique village, you will be able to taste cocktails created by Distillerie Vrignaud at the Polar Bar in partnership with V&B, sip a Spritz or enjoy a fresh OVNI (our white wine) accompanied by oysters straight from La Guittière, a local oyster farm... As you will have understood, more than a sporting event, this great gathering was born above all from the desire to make shine and to highlight the unique know-how of our Vendée Department.
While waiting for 2024, see you at the race village from the 4th of June in Les Sables d'Olonne, launch of 3 weeks of festivities.
