Mainsail hook issue for Kojiro Shiraishi

After starting from the Les Sables d'Olonne start line under full mainsail Kojiro Shiraishi took a reef in as the wind built. But this morning (Monday) when he wanted to hoist to full main again he discovered he has a problem with his mainsail halyard lock, or hook. The Japanese skipper has dropped his mainsail to the deck to try and fix the problem. He is making slower speeds. More information to come.
